President Benigno Aquino III has signed Administrative Order No. 3 authorizing the grant of Productivity Enhancement Incentive to government employees for fiscal year 2010.
The Productivity Enhancement Incentive or additional bonus is on top of the 13th month pay and cash gift the civil servants have or will receive for Christmas.
The additional bonus will amount to a maximum of P10,000 depending the length of service of the employee.
Employees with at least four months of service as of November 30, 2010 will receive the full amount of P10,000 while those with less than four months of service will receive lower on a pro-rated basis.
The amount of the bonus will also depend on the savings of the respective agencies. Of the P10,000 bonus, P7,000 will come from the government's savings which will be released by the DBM and the rest will come from the agencies.
This cash incentive is also available to employees from government-owned and controlled corporations, local government units and the executive and legislative branches.
The amount of additional bonus for local government units shall be determined by their respective councils depending on the LGU financial capability.
The payment of the Productivity Enhancement Incentive to all government employees shall be made not earlier than December 15, 2010.
